Originating Performing Arts in

Regional Australia

Woolmington is a group of performing arts practitioners who come together to find ways to create performing arts works from outside of the cities and traditional "beltway-to-broadway" and by helping performing arts practitioners to achieve opportunities to perform.

We are neither professional nor amatuer. Our aim is to link people with creative arts practitioners and performing arts lovers to provide creative opportunities for our members throughout NSW, Victoria, Queensland and WA. 100% of our funding is self-raised and we drive 100% of it back into our own projects.

We have worked quietly in the background of productions for many years now and in 2017 came into our own with an initial production of Venus and Adonis. Following that we have prepared the way for a major community production in Wollongong in 2019. We are slow and quiet to build and work with people who have an interest in the arts and a proven history of supporting it - with respect, getting the job done and doing the work proud.

We work to provide access to theatre for people with disabilities, including our carer's free ticket policy and specially configured performance experiences for people with disabilities. For more information about that, please contact us here.

Woolmington is a proud member of the ACON LGBTI Safe Place national program. We perform from the world-class WIN Entertainment Centre, on the beach side (literally) in Wollongong NSW.
